As a dancer of almost 10 years, I have a considerable amount of back pain. Joseph was professional, made sure I was comfortable, and significantly helped to alleviate my pain! - Best massage therapist I’ve been to. Being a female, I was hesitant to have a male work on me, but males do have stronger hands which is what my body needs. Joe works the tension out of my muscles to where it is comfortable instead of being painful as he uses a different method than unlike any other therapist I’ve been to. - I’m an avid power lifter and for years have experienced tightness in a range of muscles. Joe was able to get deep enough to release the tension and let me feel loose. Don’t be turned away by the unconventional setting, the man definitely knows what he’s doing. Before I was even thirty minutes in on my session I knew I’d be coming back. Joe is an excellent massage therapist. He’s down to earth and genuine. If you’re looking for a deep tissue massage he’s the man to go to. His years of experience and expertise in the field were very evident from the session I had with him and I’m definitely looking forward to more sessions in the future. Thank you, Joe! - When it comes to dealing with pain, you usually have to choose between someone who knows what they're doing, or someone who cares about you as a person. Joe is both. When I woke up this morning, I had so much tension in my neck that I couldn't function. Not only did he squeeze me in ahead of schedule, he then proceeded to use his considerable skill and experience to work loose what felt like a rubber band ball from under my shoulder blade. - I'm a long-time back and shoulder pain sufferer. The only thing that has worked for me is deep -- really deep -- massage. Too often, I've been frustrated by massages that don't go deep enough. That's not the case with Joe. He has strong hands and knows how to use his body to bring the pressure I need. He's also big on communication, so he is open to hearing what you need. - I went to joe for mother’s day for a 2hr deep tissue massage it was absolutely amazing I have gotten massagesby some of the best in Lexington KY i was a former student at the Lexington healing arts academy so I know all about massage and I can say I had never had a massage that amazing he is highly recommended in my book I won’t go to anyone else and haven’t sence then if you haven’t tried him you must!!! - Extremely effective therapist. I’ve had recurring neck and back issues. Been to other therapists and have gotten some good results but Joe knows his business. His deep tissue massages have helped me tremendously. I was pain free after the first visit for several weeks but injured my neck again working out. - I've had many massages over the years by many different therapists and Joe ranks at the top. His knowledge and talent for bodywork are very apparent as soon as he goes to work. That said, he consistently requests feedback in order to make the session as effective as possible. - As other reviewers have said...Joseph is the best massage therapist I have ever had...and I've had some really good ones. It does take caring, sensitive and strong hands to go deep when needed. in a few visits Joseph has targeted decades of built-up stress in my neck, shoulders and back. At one point I went to the emergency room thinking I was having a heart attack from pain running across my chest and down my left arm. After the whole stress test cardiology evaluation; my heart was fine...decades of built-up stress was the problem.. Tension in my neck was sending this pain down my chest, shoulder, and left arm. Joseph found those knot points and went as far as he thought he should in each session...he obviously knew what he was doing because after each session I was so much better with minimal trauma pain from his very deep work. Joseph is very warm, caring, friendly, professional, and also offers good counsel for your situation...Very fortunate to have him in Lexington, ky.- Thom Smith. 1/4/2018
- It’s pretty hard to add to all the wonderful things other clients have said about Joe, because they’re all so true. I’m still in shock of how amazing of an experience I had. 1) he is very professional and personable 2) he really knows what he is doing and I appreciate that he checked in with me throughout and let me know briefly what he was about to do next 3) this guy has the strongest hands! They’re AMAZING! I’m still in that post-massage daze and it’s been eight hours since our session. After today, there is no way I can go to someone else ever again. He is just simply the BEST. - I had been having serious problems with chronic hip pain, lower back pain, neck pain, vertigo, etc. due to muscular/skeletal imbalance and had been to every type of doctor imaginable along with physical therapists and many chiropractors. Found Hands from Heaven online and decided to give them a try. Joe came to my home and was extremely professional and friendly. I was really interested in a therapeutic, deep tissue massage and trigger point release. As he began to massage, I realized that he knew exactly which muscles to focus on. At one point, I literally felt a trigger point in a hamstring "dissolve" beneath his fingers. After the first massage, I had a standing appointment with Joe every week. I'm not completely healed, but Joe's massages definitely helped. Joe is a one-of-a-kind massage therapist who is truly dedicated to healing and helping people. - When your a wife, mother, and business owner times can be hectic. one of my favorite treats is to book a session with Joe. He understands my body and never fails to relax me through a exquisite full body massage. - I've had MANY massages and Joe delivers an amazing experience unlike any other. I tend to favor a really deep tissue and Joe intuitively knew exactly were my problem spots were, where to go deep and where to go slightly lighter. I suffer from autoimmune and Joe was instrumental in helping my range of motion in muscles that have been tightening up. - Hands Down the Best Massage in Lexington! I have used Joe on several occasions when I have been in town. He has done wonders for me each and every time I have seen him. My business brings me to the area several times a year and I make sure to book an appointment with him as soon as I book my flight. I just came back from seeing him again and cannot give enough praise for the work he does. His rates are reasonable and I have found him to be the best massage therapist in Lexington Kentucky or any other city for that I have been to.
